Rich Mess is an independent fragrance house founded in 2018 by art director and designer Ryan Richmond. Built around contradiction, instinct and excess of feeling, the brand creates unisex scents that are layered, sensual and a little unruly. Rich Mess treats fragrance less like polish and more like permission: to feel too much, take up space and make the mess your own.

The debut scent, Original, was created with master perfumer Christophe Laudamiel and won the 2019 Art and Olfaction Award in the Independent category. Today, Rich Mess continues that world through fragrance, image and object, pairing award-winning perfumery with an editorial point of view shaped by fashion, beauty and nightlife.
